California Licensed Underwriter

Job Summary

To support underwriting efforts, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter will evaluate data to assess risk, collaborate with internal teams on case strategies, and present renewal recommendations while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze standard and nonstandard data to inform premium and claim assessments and identify actionable insights
• Collaborate with internal departments to develop rates that mitigate risk and support sustainable membership growth
• Engage with external clients to communicate underwriting approaches and address data needs effectively

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of business strategy analysis and risk management
• Experience with data analysis tools and models relevant to underwriting
• Ability to build relationships with customers and channel partners
• Understanding of compliance with relevant policies and procedures in underwriting
