Job Summary
Evaluating standard and nonstandard data, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter II will analyze risks, support business strategy analysis, and collaborate on case strategies while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk, identifying actionable insights
- Process account activities and develop rates to mitigate risk and optimize membership growth
- Engage with external markets to communicate underwriting approaches and build relationships with customers and partners
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
- Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
- Experience using data analytics tools and models for business strategy and risk management
- Ability to collaborate with internal teams and contribute to account plans and rate negotiations
- Familiarity with compliance policies and procedures relevant to underwriting work
