California Licensed Underwriter II

Job Summary

To support a growing underwriting team, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter II will evaluate standard and nonstandard data, assess risk, and collaborate with internal and external partners to develop financial solutions while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze data to understand premium, claim, exposure, and population risk, providing actionable insights and recommendations
• Process account activities and contribute to rate negotiations while collaborating with Sales and Account Management to develop effective account plans
• Engage with external markets to communicate underwriting approaches and build relationships with customers and channel partners

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or a minimum of three years of experience in Underwriting, Marketplace Evaluations, Financial Analysis, or a directly related field
• Comprehensive knowledge of the external business environment related to underwriting
• Experience with data analysis tools and models that support financial and risk management
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners
• Understanding of compliance policies and procedures relevant to underwriting practices
