California Licensed Underwriting Manager
Job Summary
To provide overall underwriting excellence, the full-time California Licensed Underwriting Manager will manage Cyber Liability lines of business, directing strategic and operational objectives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Delegating underwriting authority and approving underwriting referrals to achieve desired performance
- Conducting internal peer reviews to ensure adherence to corporate guidelines and identifying new underwriting opportunities
- Managing a team of underwriters and loss control representatives, including hiring, training, and performance appraisal
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a related discipline
- Minimum of 15 years of related work experience, with at least 10 years in a management role
- Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
- Strong leadership and management skills with a deep understanding of the insurance industry
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software
