Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the California Licensed Workers Comp Adjuster will manage a portfolio of claims, evaluate compensability and liability, and negotiate settlements while maintaining accurate claim files.
Key responsibilities
- Manage an inventory of claims to evaluate compensability and liability
- Conduct claim investigations to confirm coverage and determine damages
- Negotiate appropriate claim settlements and authorize payments within prescribed authority
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Risk Management and Insurance, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in property and casualty claims handling
- Preferred moderate lost time handling experience with California
- Preferred SIP certification
- Progress toward a professional designation such as Associate in Claims (AIC) is preferred
