California Licensed Workers Compensation Adjuster

Job Summary

As a senior technical expert, the fully remote California Licensed Workers Compensation Adjuster III will manage complex, high-exposure claims, provide technical guidance, and serve as a resource for clients and colleagues while working on a temporary basis.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations on complex claims, applying heightened scrutiny and maintaining detailed action plans
• Lead medical management and vocational rehabilitation efforts for catastrophic claims, ensuring timely return-to-work strategies
• Direct the litigation process for complex files, including negotiations and high-value settlements, while mentoring junior adjusters

Required qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of WC claims experience, including 5 years of independent indemnity management with complex files
• Active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required; CA SIP certificate needed for California files
• Comprehensive knowledge of public entity liability claims and California WC statutes preferred
• Experience directing complex litigation and familiarity with claims management platforms
• Demonstrated ability to mentor junior adjusters and manage client relationships at a senior level
