Job Summary
As a senior technical expert, the full-time California Licensed Workers Compensation Adjuster will manage complex, high-exposure claims remotely, providing guidance and support while overseeing investigations, medical management, and litigation processes.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations on complex claims, identifying fraud indicators and maintaining detailed action plans
- Lead medical management efforts for high-complexity cases, coordinating with specialists and ensuring appropriate treatment reviews
- Direct the litigation process for complex files, including negotiations, mediations, and settlement decisions
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of workers' compensation claims experience, including 5 years in independent indemnity management of complex files
- Active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required; California SIP certificate required for California files
- Comprehensive knowledge of California workers' compensation statutes and public entity liability claims
- Experience directing complex litigation and managing catastrophic injury cases
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior adjusters and manage senior-level client relationships
