Job Summary
Analyzing complex California workers' compensation claims, the full-time California Licensed Workers' Compensation Examiner will manage claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, negotiate settlements, and ensure timely resolution in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Investigates and processes complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manages claims through action plans
- Negotiates settlements within designated authority and ensures timely claim payments and adjustments
- Manages the litigation process and prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits
Required qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Four (4) years of California workers' compensation claims management experience
- Experience in a claims management environment with a focus on litigation
- Proven ability to negotiate settlements within assigned authority
- Professional certification applicable to the line of business is preferred
