Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the California Medicaid Eligibility Specialist will manage Medicaid applications, ensure compliance with state regulations, and collaborate with enrollment representatives to facilitate participant eligibility for Medicaid programs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and track Medicaid applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained for approval
• Maintain compliance with state Medicaid rules and regulations while providing ongoing training to enrollment representatives
• Troubleshoot eligibility issues and communicate application status to enrollment representatives and county staff

Required qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience
• 1+ year of experience with CBMS Medicaid systems and knowledge of Medicaid benefits
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid state-issued driver's license and personal transportation
