Job Summary

Managing complex research administration functions, the full-time salaried California Research Business Manager will oversee daily operations, support grant proposal development, and ensure compliance with institutional guidelines while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and oversight of extramural funding portfolios
• Partner with Principal Investigators to support grant proposal development and compliance requirements
• Supervise and mentor Research Operations Analysts and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative work environment

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of administration experience in an academic research or healthcare environment, including 2 years of management experience
• Preferred background in business, finance, research administration, or related field
• 5+ years of business management experience in an academic research or healthcare environment is preferred
