California Senior Accountant

Job Summary

Supporting management in decision-making, the full-time remote California Senior Accountant will oversee financial functions, manage month-end close processes, and prepare accurate financial reports while ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the month-end close and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial data, distributing financial reports as needed
• Assist in audits and develop documentation of processes and procedures

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• At least three years of experience in creating journal entries and analyzing financial statements
• Experience as an accountant in a managed care organization
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Advanced skills in Excel, including complex formulas and pivot tables
