Job Summary
To support a growing practice in Los Angeles, the full-time salaried California Senior Counsel - Landlord Tenant will manage habitability claims, landlord-tenant disputes, and general civil litigation while working closely with a partner who emphasizes mentorship and professional development.
Key responsibilities
- Independently handle court appearances, depositions, briefs, and trials
- Develop compelling case themes to counter plaintiff strategies
- Provide leadership and direction to less experienced attorneys while cultivating client relationships
Required qualifications
- JD from an ABA-approved school and active California Bar license
- 8+ years of solid litigation experience, particularly in habitability and landlord-tenant matters
- Ability to manage full case handling responsibilities, including discovery and trial preparation
- Experience in insurance defense matters is preferred
- Proficiency in MS Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
