Job Summary
As a senior technical expert, the full-time temporary California Workers' Compensation Adjuster III will manage complex, high-exposure claims, providing technical guidance and supervisory support while working remotely or in a hybrid environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform detailed investigations on complex claims, maintaining strategic resolution plans and identifying fraud indicators
- Lead medical management and vocational rehabilitation efforts for high-complexity claims, coordinating with specialists and case managers
- Direct the litigation process for complex files, including settlement negotiations and managing legal strategy
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of WC claims experience, including 5 years of independent indemnity management on complex files, or a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience
- Active adjuster license in applicable state(s) required, with a CA SIP certificate for California files
- Comprehensive knowledge of public entity liability claims and applicable state WC statutes, particularly California
- Experience directing complex litigation and familiarity with claims management platforms
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior adjusters and manage client relationships at a senior level
