California Workers Compensation Examiner

Job Summary

Analyzing complex California workers' compensation claims, the full-time salaried Workers Compensation Claims Examiner will adjudicate claims, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation processes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Investigates and processes complex workers' compensation claims to determine exposure and manage claims to resolution
• Negotiates settlements within designated authority and ensures timely claim payments and adjustments
• Manages the litigation process and prepares necessary state filings within statutory limits

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Four (4) years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent required
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP must be obtained within one year of hire date
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
