California Workers Compensation Examiner

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned California Workers Compensation Examiner, the full-time remote position will analyze complex claims, negotiate settlements, and manage litigation processes while ensuring timely resolution and adherence to client service requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims to determine benefits due and manage claims to resolution
• Negotiate settlements within designated authority and ensure timely claim payments and adjustments
• Manage the litigation process and coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation or litigation management

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
• Five (5) years of claims management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP must be obtained within one (1) year of employment
• Professional certification as applicable to line of business preferred
