Job Summary
To analyze complex California workers' compensation claims, the full-time salaried Workers Compensation Claims Examiner will adjudicate claims involving litigation and rehabilitation, negotiate settlements, and manage claims through investigation and resolution in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and process complex workers' compensation claims, developing action plans for timely resolution
- Negotiate settlements within designated authority and manage reserve adequacy throughout the claim lifecycle
- Ensure compliance with state filings and manage the litigation process for cost-effective claims resolution
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
- Four (4) years of California workers' compensation claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
- California jurisdictional knowledge required; SIP certification must be obtained within one year of hire
