California Workers Compensation Supervisor

Job Summary

Managing a claims unit, the full-time California Workers Compensation Supervisor will oversee Claims Specialists and Assistants, ensuring compliance with company standards and Labor Code regulations while providing coaching, performance evaluations, and timely completion of claims.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing mentoring and coaching to claims personnel
• Ensure all claims are handled in accordance with applicable statutes and company rules
• Perform quarterly audits of open inventory to validate claims management processes and identify improvement opportunities

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five or more years of progressive technical claim experience
• Strong knowledge of California Labor Code as it pertains to workers compensation claims
• Experience in project management and change management
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
