California Workers Compensation Supervisor

Job Summary

Leading a claims unit, the full-time hybrid California Workers Compensation Supervisor will manage performance evaluations, ensure compliance with company standards, and provide mentorship to Claims Specialists while overseeing the handling of complex claims.

Key responsibilities:

• Conduct timely performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching to claims personnel
• Ensure all claims are managed in accordance with applicable statutes and company policies
• Perform quarterly audits of claims inventories to validate accuracy and identify process improvement opportunities

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Five or more years of progressive technical claims experience
• Strong knowledge of California Labor Code as it pertains to workers compensation claims
• Proven ability to negotiate settlements effectively
• Experience in project management and change management
