Job Summary
Overseeing a team of Claims Specialists and Assistants, the full-time California Workers Compensation Supervisor will manage claims processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide coaching and performance evaluations in a hybrid remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of claims personnel to ensure adherence to company standards and Labor Code regulations
- Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing mentoring and feedback to team members
- Perform quarterly audits of claims to validate accuracy and identify improvement opportunities
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Five or more years of progressive technical claims experience
- Strong knowledge of California Labor Code as it pertains to workers compensation claims
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
- Experience in project management and change management processes
