Job Summary
Serving as the first point of contact for patients, the full-time Care Access Representative will manage patient registration, schedule outpatient appointments, and coordinate communication within a remote call center environment.
Key responsibilities
- Ensures excellent customer service by demonstrating a caring and professional disposition while meeting call quality and scheduling standards
- Verifies key patient information for accuracy to ensure patient safety and billing accuracy, following established workflows in Epic
- Schedules patient appointments and actively participates in departmental quality assurance by applying feedback to reduce errors
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; higher-level degree may satisfy this requirement
- One (1) year of customer service and/or clerical experience
- Experience with patient registration and scheduling workflows preferred
- Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
