Careers Consultant
Job Summary
To support the Blue Star Careers program, the independent contractor Careers Consultant will develop outreach strategies, promote events, and create tailored marketing materials while working remotely for approximately 30 hours per month through December 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement a social media outreach strategy targeting the military community
- Promote virtual events and create marketing materials tailored to specific service branches
- Engage with local employers and moderate discussions within the Spouseforce community on Facebook
Required qualifications
- Proven success in careers/outreach programming and event coordination
- Strong familiarity with The Blue Star Careers Neighborhood community, Google Suite, Canva, and Zoom
- Experience in planning and executing events, including logistics and project management
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with military families and local community members
- Must have an active Blue Star Careers community profile and LinkedIn profile
