Job Summary
To support operations in a remote capacity, the full-time Cargo Claims Specialist will address overage, shortage, and damage issues by researching causes, analyzing root causes, and communicating findings to management while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Capture and analyze data related to claims of overages, shortages, and damages of customer products
- Investigate product claims and maintain comprehensive records of claims and associated documents
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse operations to provide timely information regarding freight issues and determine resolutions
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of perishable commodity OSD/cargo claims experience or equivalent customer service experience in the transportation industry
- Knowledge of the Carmack Amendment is strongly preferred
- Certified Claims Processor (CCP) is preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and capable of handling a fast-paced environment
