Carrier Procurement Representative

Job Summary

To support profitable freight coverage, the full-time Carrier Procurement Representative will build and manage carrier relationships, negotiate rates, and enhance service consistency while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Source, qualify, onboard, and develop carrier relationships across the freight network
• Negotiate competitive buy rates and evaluate carrier performance to improve profitability
• Establish long-term relationships with carriers and address operational issues with urgency

Required qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
• 1-3+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier procurement, or transportation operations
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating rates and managing transportation relationships
• Working knowledge of carrier economics and freight markets
• Proficiency with TMS and CRM platforms, along with advanced skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
