Job Summary
Managing the supply chain for highly technical materials, the contract Category Manager will ensure high availability and quality while minimizing costs, working flexibly from Kennett Square, PA.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison to current and potential suppliers, leading supplier relationship strategies
- Collaborate with senior managers and engineers to develop long-term supply market strategies and improve category effectiveness
- Identify and implement new supply chain process improvement initiatives while resolving complex commercial issues with Supply Operations
Required qualifications
- B.S. degree in a relevant field
- 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement specialty
- Proven experience managing complex materials or services supply chains
- Strong understanding of contracting, labor, e-business, and inventory strategies
- Experience in developing cost reduction strategies for supply chain processes
