Job Summary
Leading a team of coding professionals, the full-time Lead Coding Specialist Inpatient will ensure accurate coding and compliance for inpatient services while working fully remotely from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the coding process for inpatient services, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards
- Provide training and support to coding staff, enhancing their skills and knowledge
- Conduct audits and reviews of coding accuracy to maintain high-quality standards
Required qualifications
- CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) or RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) certification
- Proven experience in inpatient coding and compliance regulations
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems
- Experience in leading or mentoring coding teams
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
