Job Summary
Evaluating the quality and compliance of clinical documentation, the part-time CDQI Audit Specialist will conduct audits, provide feedback and education to CDI staff, and monitor program performance while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct retrospective and concurrent audits of CDQI Specialists' work to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide individualized feedback and develop education plans based on audit findings to enhance staff performance
- Monitor program performance indicators and collaborate with physicians to improve reimbursement and clinical outcomes
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of CDI experience and/or auditing
- 3+ years of clinical experience in an academic medical center
- RN or BSN with CCDS or CDIP certification
- Experience with various EMRs and CDI software, including Epic and Cerner
- Must pass CDI skills competency assessment
