Job Summary
Responsible for scheduling, cancelling, and registering outpatient visits and procedures for multiple ambulatory clinics, the full-time Centralized Scheduler will collect necessary information and ensure accurate patient records while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Obtain and verify patient guarantor information annually to maintain up-to-date records
- Schedule and register patients according to guidelines and medical appropriateness
- Respond to patient and staff needs, escalating issues as necessary to appropriate personnel
Required qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- State criminal background check and Federal check as required for regulated areas
- Experience in a scheduling or administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to work in a standard office environment and sit for extended periods
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient registration processes is advantageous
