Certified Cardiology Educator
Job Summary
To support the Central Billing Office, the full-time Certified Cardiology Educator will provide education to coders and healthcare staff, ensure accurate coding practices, and lead training initiatives while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Create and maintain an internal education program for CBO coding staff
- Lead Coder Roundtable meetings, including agenda creation and content presentation
- Review and interpret physician documentation to accurately assign billing codes and resolve discrepancies
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree in Health Record Technology or related field and five years of professional coding experience, or seven years of coding experience with a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) credential
- Demonstrated experience with healthcare-related educational activities
- Ability to problem-solve and communicate professionally with healthcare professionals
