Job Summary

Managing a portfolio of over 90 active claims, the remote Senior Cargo Claims Specialist will lead and mentor team members on cargo claims processes, handle complex and high-value claims, and serve as a subject matter expert in negotiations with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor claims team members on industry standards and best practices
• Manage complex cargo claims related to damaged and rejected shipments while ensuring compliance with regulations
• Negotiate salvage and recovery options and provide relevant insurance documentation to customers and carriers

Required qualifications

• Certified Claims Professional (CCP) certification required
• 7+ years of experience in cargo claims adjustment or related roles
• Proven ability to manage high-volume caseloads effectively
• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Knowledge of insurance principles and freight industry regulations preferred
