Certified Charge Capture Specialist

Job Summary

To support accurate billing processes, the full-time remote Certified Charge Capture Specialist will review clinical documentation, assess and enter charges for various services, and collaborate with departments to improve charge capture and resolve billing errors.

Key responsibilities

• Reviews and enters charges in the electronic medical record (EMR) while ensuring compliance with federal regulations
• Identifies and resolves charge capture errors and discrepancies, collaborating with providers and leadership
• Monitors financial reports for accuracy and assists in the reconciliation of hospital professional fees

Required qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age with relevant education and/or experience
• 2 to 5 years of experience in healthcare insurance, billing, and charging
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Associate's or Vocational degree in business, healthcare, or related field preferred
• Certified Coding Specialist certification preferred upon hire
