Certified Coder II

Job Summary

Seeking a detail-oriented Certified Coder II for a full-time remote position, responsible for coding diagnosis and procedure codes (ICD-10 & CPT), ensuring accuracy and compliance with coding guidelines, and maintaining productivity standards in a corporate revenue cycle environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review and code diagnoses and procedures for accuracy and completeness prior to submission to the billing system
• Utilize coding guidelines and resources to assign appropriate codes and ensure accurate reimbursement
• Participate in monthly coding meetings and maintain continuing education to meet coding accuracy standards

Required qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Two years of hospital coding experience
• Completion of an AHIMA or AACP-certified Coding program or equivalent
• Eligible for RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certifications
• Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT Coding Guidelines and Procedures
