Certified Coder II (Florida)
Job Summary
Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Certified Coder II (Florida) will abstract data from medical records into Epic and 3M 360, ensuring accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures according to ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Abstract data from medical records to provide detailed case summaries, including medical, demographic, and statistical information
- Identify and code primary and secondary diagnoses and procedures for various medical records, including Surgical Records and Evaluation & Management Encounters
- Follow coding procedures mandated by government and payers for accurate completion of coded data
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 1 year of outpatient multidisciplinary coding or Provider E&M Level of Service Coding experience
- At least one coding certification required (e.g., CPC, COC, CPC-P, CRC, CIC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA)
