Certified Coder III - Anesthesia

Job Summary

Under general supervision, the remote Certified Coder III - Anesthesia will perform complex daily CPT, HCPC, and ICD10 coding for inpatient, outpatient, and clinical charge documents related to Anesthesiology, Pain Management, and Critical Care procedures, ensuring accurate interpretation and coding of all billable services in a full-time capacity.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth coding of medical documents, converting notes and diagnoses into appropriate CPT, HCPC, and ICD10 codes
• Ensure accurate capture of all billable services by interpreting physician notes and diagnoses
• Collaborate with the Revenue Cycle department to support the organization's mission of outstanding patient care

Required qualifications:

• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
• Three (3) years of coding experience, specifically in Anesthesia coding
• Strong skills in CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS professional coding applications
