Certified Coder - Neurology (Remote)

Job Summary

Performing advanced coding and appeal activities, the full-time Certified Coder - Neurology (Remote) will investigate payer issues, file timely appeals to insurance companies, and handle charge corrections while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Review medical record documentation to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Code evaluation and management to appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-10 codes
• Collaborate with physicians to resolve coding issues and secure necessary documentation

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent certification
• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding preferred
• Associate degree in Medical Coding & Billing is a plus
