Certified Coder - Obstetrics and Gynecology

Job Summary

To support a growing practice, the full-time Certified Coder - Obstetrics and Gynecology will review medical record documentation to determine appropriate billing codes, code evaluations and management to CPT codes, and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Reviews medical records to identify diagnoses and procedures for accurate coding
• Codes evaluations and management to appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-10 codes
• Collaborates with physicians to resolve documentation issues and secures necessary signatures

Required qualifications

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
