Certified Coder - Orthopedic Surgery

Job Summary

To support the orthopedic surgery department, the full-time Certified Coder - Orthopedic Surgery will manage timely filing of appeals to insurance companies, conduct advanced appeal activities, and perform charge corrections in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Review documentation to identify comprehensive diagnoses and procedures for coding
• Code evaluation and management to appropriate CPT and diagnosis to ICD-10 codes
• Assist physicians in resolving coding issues and ensure proper documentation signatures

Required qualifications:

• Must have one of the following coding credentials: CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, or CPC-H-A
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
