Certified Coder - Pediatrics

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Certified Coder - Pediatrics will review medical record documentation to determine appropriate billing codes, code evaluations and management to CPT codes, and collaborate with physicians to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Review medical records to identify pertinent facts for coding diagnoses and procedures
• Code evaluations and management to appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses to ICD-10 codes
• Assist coders and increase physician awareness of documentation requirements

Required qualifications:

• Must possess one of the following coding credentials: AHIMA (CCA, CCS, or CCS-P) or AAPC (CPC, CPC-A, CPC-H, CPC-H-A)
• No specific work experience required
• A diploma, certification, or degree is not required
