Certified Coding Auditor

Job Summary

Responsible for inpatient and outpatient coding and auditing across various specialties, the remote Certified Coding Auditor will perform coding audits, prepare reports, and present findings to stakeholders while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct coding and compliance audits for providers and prepare detailed reports
• Apply appropriate coding and documentation guidelines, including E&M and surgery documentation
• Provide education to physicians regarding audit findings and coding practices

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CPC or CCS coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC required
• Minimum 5 years of coding experience and 2 years of auditing experience in a multi-specialty setting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and job-related software
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
