Certified Coding Auditor Trainer

Job Summary

To enhance the effectiveness of the Clinical Chart Validation team, the full-time Certified Coding Auditor Trainer will develop and deliver technical training, mentor team members, and assess training needs for Outpatient and Specialty Clinical & Coding Validation Audits.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement technical training plans and materials, collaborating with subject matter experts
• Deliver training sessions using various methods, including classroom and online formats, while mentoring new team members
• Assess and improve audit processes through quality assurance controls and feedback on audit performance

Required qualifications

• Associates Degree or equivalent relevant experience; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• Coding certification (CCS, CPC, etc.) is required and must be maintained
• 5 to 7+ years of experience in medical claims, billing/payment systems, and coding terminology
• Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
• Proficiency with audit technology and applications such as Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint
