Certified Coding Educator

Job Summary

To enhance the skills of coding teams, the full-time remote Certified Coding Educator will plan, organize, and coordinate education and training on coding guidelines and regulations across various clinical specialties.

Key responsibilities

• Audit, educate, and monitor coders on E/M levels, procedures, and diagnosis coding, including CPT/ICD-10 and HCPCS
• Collaborate with Coding Leadership to identify educational needs and develop targeted training programs for coding associates
• Ensure compliance with auditing standards and provide constructive feedback for the development of instructional materials

Required qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Required certification (one or more): CCS, COC, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC
• Prior experience in production coding, auditing, or coder education and training
• Specialty experience in Ancillary, Surgical, Emergency Medicine, and Evaluation & Management Coding
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for preparing training materials and analyzing data
