Certified Coding Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, a Certified Coding Specialist will provide accurate CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10-CM coding across various specialties while ensuring compliance with coding guidelines and maintaining high productivity and quality standards.

Key responsibilities:

• Accurately apply diagnosis and procedure codes utilizing ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS
• Interpret coding guidelines and ensure documentation supports code assignments and reimbursement impacts
• Maintain compliance with ethical standards and participate in ongoing training and education

Required qualifications:

• Certification through AAPC (CPC or COC) or AHIMA (CCS or CCS-P) is mandatory
• Minimum of 6 months of on-the-job coding experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Working knowledge of EMR and billing systems
• Ability to maintain a productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher
