Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare organization, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist will review hospital medical records for ambulatory surgery patients, assign relevant diagnoses and procedure codes, and collaborate with outpatient coders while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review hospital medical records and assign diagnoses and procedure codes according to ICD-10-CM and CPT guidelines
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards to provide exceptional coding services
- Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to address client needs
Required qualifications
- Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC coding credentials
- 2-3 or more years of relevant facility coding experience
- Access to reliable high-speed internet and a workstation
- Epic experience is a plus
- Candidates must reside within the United States
