Job Summary
To support a growing healthcare team, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist will review hospital medical records for observation patients, assign relevant ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT surgical codes, and collaborate with outpatient coders in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Review medical records for observation patients and assign appropriate ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT surgical codes
- Meet or exceed quality and productivity standards to provide exceptional coding services
- Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to address client needs
Required qualifications
- Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT, or CPC coding credentials
- 3 or more years of relevant facility coding experience
- Access to reliable high-speed internet and a workstation
- Epic experience is a plus
- Candidates must reside within the United States
