Certified Coding Specialist (MN)

Job Summary

To support accurate coding practices, the full-time Certified Coding Specialist (MN) will review electronic and written documentation to convert into diagnostic and procedure codes while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Review and code medical records accurately and in a timely manner using ICD CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes
• Communicate with clinical staff to ensure proper documentation translation and code selection
• Assist in quality and productivity audits, data collection, and reporting

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Completion of college-level courses in ICD, CPT4, and HCPCS, or relevant experience in anatomy and physiology and medical terminology
• AHIMA or AAPC Certification required
• 1 year of experience in a medical office
• Experience with ICD-10 and CPT coding, and familiarity with EPIC
