Job Summary
To support surgical specialties, the full-time remote Certified Coding Specialist - WA will perform chart analysis, abstract various medical codes, and resolve coding issues to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement.
Key responsibilities
- Perform chart analysis and abstract CPT, HCPCS, and ICD codes for surgical specialties
- Review and resolve coding issues in Epic, ensuring accuracy of diagnosis and procedure codes
- Consult with physicians to verify services rendered and provide feedback on coding and documentation
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CIC, COC, CIRCC, RCC, or ROCC
- Three years of coding experience or equivalent education/experience
