Key responsibilities
- Lead and support a team of medical coders, ensuring accurate and efficient performance
- Review and audit coded data for compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory standards
- Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities for coding staff
Required qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Certification as CPC, CCA, CCS, CIC, or COC
- 7+ years of medical coding experience
- Experience with electronic medical record systems and relevant software applications
- Previous medical office experience preferred
