Certified Coding Supervisor - Utah

Job Summary

To support the coding department's operations, the full-time Certified Coding Supervisor - Utah will oversee daily coding functions, manage departmental staff, and ensure quality assurance audits while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise coding staff, addressing coding issues and overseeing quality assurance audits
• Monitor daily coding functions and departmental KPIs using Epic EMR and related tools
• Participate in the hiring process, onboarding, and coaching of new caregivers

Required qualifications

• Required - CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist - Physician)
• Required - Demonstrated experience in professional fee coding, including Evaluation & Management (E/M) services
• Preferred - Minimum of two years of professional fee coding experience and prior supervisory experience
• Preferred - High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred - Previous experience with Epic EMR
