Job Summary
Providing personal financial counseling services remotely, the full-time Certified Financial Counselor will assist military service members and their families with financial education, one-on-one counseling, and the coordination of financial management workshops.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver personal financial counseling and management services to military personnel and their families
- Develop and conduct a variety of financial management classes and workshops tailored to the military lifecycle
- Utilize virtual counseling methods and maintain communication with installation leadership regarding trends and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (associate degree plus 4 years, or high school diploma plus 6 years)
- 3+ years of financial counseling experience
- U.S. citizenship and fluency in English; bilingual in English and Spanish may be required
- Certification as an Accredited Financial Counselor (AFC), Certified Financial Planner (CFP), or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC)
- Ability to obtain a favorably adjudicated Tier 2 investigation
