Certified Genealogist Team Manager

Job Summary

To support a team of genealogical researchers, the full-time Certified Genealogist Team Manager will lead and mentor a group of up to 15 professionals, ensuring compliance with genealogical standards while actively managing client research projects in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of research professionals, conducting regular one-on-ones and driving skill development
• Oversee team research quality and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and professional genealogical standards
• Manage project allocation and assist with operational bottlenecks while directly overseeing a small portfolio of client research projects

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of professional genealogy experience, including 5-10 years in Eastern European/Jewish research
• 2-5 years of direct team management experience with a proven track record in developing talent and managing performance
• Exceptional communication skills with experience in delivering constructive feedback
• Strong time management skills to balance management duties with active billable research
• Certified or Accredited Professional Genealogist credential; Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
