Job Summary

Guiding a team of researchers, the full-time salaried Certified Genealogist Team Manager will lead, mentor, and manage research professionals while ensuring quality standards and actively participating in casework, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and performance-manage a team of up to 15 research professionals, conducting regular one-on-ones and driving skill development
• Ensure compliance with research quality standards and standard operating procedures while maintaining client satisfaction
• Oversee project allocation, assist with operational bottlenecks, and manage a small portfolio of client research projects

Required qualifications

• 10+ years of professional genealogy experience, with 5-10 years in Probate, Lineage, and/or General US Research
• 2-5 years of direct team management experience with a proven track record in talent development and performance management
• Exceptional communication skills with experience in delivering constructive feedback
• Strong time management skills to balance management duties with active research
• Preferred: Certified or Accredited Professional Genealogist credential; Bachelor's degree or higher
